Warranty & Faulty Products Policy

Last updated: September 2026

If you believe a product purchased from Divestore.com.au is faulty or defective, please contact us. We will assess the issue and help determine the appropriate next step.

1. How to Make a Claim

Please email shop@prodivecairns.com and include:

  • your name;
  • order number or proof of purchase;
  • product name and model;
  • date of purchase, if known;
  • a description of the problem; and
  • photographs or video showing the issue, where possible.

We may ask you to return the product to us for assessment.

2. Product Assessment

Depending on the product and the issue, we may assess the product ourselves or arrange an assessment by the manufacturer, supplier or authorised service centre.

This may be necessary for technical dive equipment such as:

  • regulators;
  • BCDs;
  • dive computers;
  • dive instruments;
  • torches;
  • cylinders and valves; and
  • other technical equipment.

An assessment allows us to determine the cause of the problem and the appropriate remedy.

3. Manufacturer Warranties

Many products sold through Divestore.com.au are covered by a manufacturer's warranty.

Manufacturer warranty periods and conditions vary between brands and products.

Where appropriate, we will assist you with the manufacturer's warranty process.

Manufacturer warranties generally cover manufacturing defects and may exclude issues caused by misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, improper care, unauthorised modifications or repairs, or use outside the product's intended purpose.

4. Dive Equipment & Servicing

Some dive equipment requires regular inspection, maintenance or servicing.

This may include regulators, BCDs, dive computers, cylinders, valves and other technical equipment.

Customers should follow the manufacturer's recommended servicing and maintenance requirements.

5. If a Product Is Faulty

If we determine that a product has a problem covered by the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide the appropriate remedy required by law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement or refund.

We will explain the outcome of the assessment and the available remedy.

6. Products Found Not to Be Faulty

If an assessment determines that a product does not have a fault covered by the applicable warranty or consumer guarantees, we will explain the outcome to you.

Where appropriate, we may be able to offer a paid repair or service.

Any applicable return or transport costs will be discussed with you before further action is taken.

7. Proof of Purchase

We may ask for reasonable proof that the product was purchased from Pro Dive Cairns or Divestore.com.au.

This may include an order confirmation, tax invoice, receipt or other evidence of purchase.
