Masks
The mask is probably the most personal piece of equipment you will use underwater - it is literally the
window to your diving world.
Diving and Snorkelling masks come in an endless choice of style and colour, but there are many things to consider
when purchasing your first or tenth, diving mask, including: field of
vision, internal volume, a high-grade silicone skirt for a lasting and
comfortable seal, comfortable nose pocket, tempered lenses, availability of
corrective lenses, and a high-grade, flexible silicone strap and
easy to adjust strap fasteners.
- Low volume masks help with mask
clearing.
- High volume mask are great for
giving extra space for larger noses and brows.
- Large adjustable clips help to
adjust your strap when using gloves.
- Silicon masks mould to your
face better than cheaper inferior products.
- Corrective lenses are not
available for all masks, so if you need to get corrective lenses make sure you can
get them.
- Mask strap covers are a great
way to help to prevent hair tangling in the mask strap.
